Your membership

Being a member of Wirral Credit Union means saving and borrowing with a local organisation that’s here for the long term.

You’re part of a credit union that’s not-for-profit, where money is kept within the community and support is always available if you need it.

What being a member means

Many of our members have been with us for years. They save often and know there’s somewhere to turn if things get tight.

Members tell us they like that the money goes into savings automatically, so they build up a balance without feeling the squeeze each month. They value speaking to staff who know them and take time to explain things. We always make sure our members are treated like a person, not another number.

Many say that having their savings grow alongside loan repayments has helped them plan ahead or handle unexpected costs.

Saving

You can save in a way that suits you. Many of our members choose to add small amounts regularly to build their savings pot.

Borrowing

If you need to borrow, repayments are agreed with you after applying. As you repay, you can continue growing your savings.

Ongoing support

You can get in touch with our team if you’re unsure. There are also tools and guides you can use to help with everyday money decisions.
