When you become a member of Wirral Credit Union we encourage you to save regularly.
In fact, it is one of our fundamental principles.
Adult Members must make regular contributions to their saving account via:
- Payroll Deduction
- Standing Order (Minimum £10 per month)
- Cash deposits at any of our branches
A savings account can be used for just that. Savings.
Christmas, Holidays, Car Insurance, School Uniforms, Season Tickets etc, it all comes around all to quickly.
If you don’t need to borrow then don’t.
Save from today, for tomorrow.
If you wish to make a withdrawal from your savings contact one of our branch offices in person or by telephone, Monday to Wednesday and a cheque will be produced for your collection on the Thursday of the same week. Alternatively, the cheque can be posted to your home address or we can make payment via BACS transfer directly to your nominated bank account (NB: a BACS authorisation form must be completed in person at any branch to be eligible for this service).
You can withdraw from your savings in part or in full at anytime as long as your withdrawal doesn’t take your savings account balance below any loan balance outstanding to Wirral Credit Union Ltd.
You are required to maintain a minimum balance of £5 in your savings account in order for it to remain active.
There is a £5 annual administration fee payable by all qualifying members, this is deducted from members savings account in June each year.
As Wirral Credit Union is a not for profit organisation, members will also receive an annual dividend on their savings where applicable.
If you do have a loan, just remember, you will have more money saved after completing all payments due on your loan agreement than you did at the start of you taking out your loan. Another benefit of joining Wirral Credit Union.
