To join Wirral Credit Union you can download and print a copy of the membership application form. You have to live and / or work in a CH postcode area to join Wirral Credit Union. This is what’s known as our common bond.
You can now Join Online. The online joining process requires you to make a £10 initial deposit which will credit your savings account. Applications to join Wirral CU made using the online portal will be processed within three working days, you will then receive your confirmation letter and new member information in the post. Wirral Credit Union reserves the right to request further documentation to support your application.
If you want to apply for membership in person or by post then download and print the application form, complete all of the details asked for and call in person to any of our branch offices or post to our Poulton Road branch together with the following:
- Proof of Identification (Photo ID. Eg, Driving License, Passport etc)
- Proof of Address (Utility bill, Bank Statement, Council Tax Bill etc dated within the last 3 months)
- Proof of Income (Most recent wage slip, benefits/pension book etc)
- £5 initial deposit which will credit your savings account as an opening balance
NB. Wirral Credit Union will not be held responsible for any official documents sent via post. Photocopies are not admissible as proof of identification, address or income. It is the applicants responsibility to ensure the correct documents are provided to Wirral Credit Union Ltd.
Individuals wishing to save via payroll deduction
Upon receipt of all required documentation, Wirral Credit Union will contact your employer to initiate deductions from your salary at the next available pay date. We are currently only able to provide this service to employees of the companies listed on our Payroll Deduction Scheme page.
Individuals wishing to save via standing order
Upon receipt of all required documentation, Wirral Credit Union will send you a Standing Order mandate for you to sign and return to us at our Poulton Road address. All standing orders will be taken on a monthly basis and any changes you wish to make to the amount you save, or the date the standing order is taken, must be done by contacting Wirral Credit Union directly. Please DO NOT alter standing order details directly with your bank.
Individuals wishing to save via regular small cash deposits
Small cash accounts are available by application in person at any of our branch offices.
